Shveta Jain, MD, Residential Services, Savills India said, “Goa has always had a universal appeal offering everything that one can think of for a holistic living. While the desire for owning a second home in Goa has remained strong, the pandemic has further triggered the surge in demand in the state. And interestingly, with work-from-home (WFH) becoming a widely accepted norm, places like Goa are no longer a holiday destination. Many homebuyers are gradually treating their second homes as co-primary homes. Going forward, with improvement in infrastructure and increasing real estate activity, we only see Goa being a promising investment destination.”

Throughout 2020-21 Savills witnessed an upswing in demand for second homes and Goa with its bohemian characteristics and high lifestyle quotient emerged as a winner for many such seekers.

Traditionally, an ideal destination for a fun holiday, over the recent years, Goa has come a long way in terms of real estate development. It has multiple exotic locations which are perfect for a visit, a workcation or a change of scenery.

Savills India research indicates that demand in Goa has witnessed a 25-30% supply growth for properties in the last few years, popular locations being Anjuna, Arpora, Assagao and Saligao. Investors are also banking on upcoming locations such as Siolim and Porvorim that offer better prices and scope of appreciation in near future.

To help buyers make informed decisions and make the process hassle-free, Savills is also launching a detailed Goa Buyer’s Guide. One can log onto and request a copy.

Partnering with Savills is ICICI Bank as preferred home loan partners for the fest.
